Melbourne Poker League; "we have upped the ante and brought poker to the players"
1: If a bet isn’t verbalized pre flop one chip is a call.
2: After the flop one chip is whatever the value of the chip.
(e.g. if 12,000 bet is specified as 12 and the blinds are 300, 600 then 1200 is the bet)
1: Must be double the blind.
2: Re-raises must be minimum double the previous raise
1: Player will be penalised for betting out of turn by following the actions of the previous player.
2: If previous player checks he must check.
3: If previous player raises, the player who has bet out of turn, his bet stands, then he has the option to call, re-raise or fold.
4: If the player folds they are forfeiting the chips already bet.
5: If the previous player goes All-In, the player who has bet out of turn, his bet stands but he can fold, but all chips will be forfeited.
1: You can blind raise under the gun.
2: The blind raise must be at least 2 x the big blind.
3: Once you have placed your blind raise you can still add chip till the last card has been dealt, the player to your left can also call a blind raise or re-raise it must be double the initial blind raise or more.
4: If player under the gun blind raises and the player and the next player blind raises, it must be double the previous bet and once placed the player under the gun can not take there bet back.
1: The dealer is in control of the hand always.
2: No splashing the pot.
3: No dirty stacks on tables, (this mean chips must be in order)
4: Burn cards must be beside the flop (not in the muck)
5: Bet should be placed in front of you, not thrown into pot, to minimise confusion. verbalise your bets are highly recommended.
6: If change is needed, only the dealer will give the change.
7: If a player is all in for less than the blind/raise, other players who have called do not have the option to re-raise they can only flat call.
8: Those who have not yet had their action, still have an option to re-raise or go all in over the top.
9: If you are not in the hand, you can’t talk about the hand.
10: If you’re cards are folded they are folded. Whether you hit two pair, a straight a royal flush is irrelevant
11: Cards must be in playing sight no hiding the cards or holding them in your hand whilst you’re in a hand.
12: Players in the hand can talk but can’t verbally or physically reveal their cards to other players.
13: Chips thrown into pot will be considered donations and will stay in the pot.
14: You must be at seat by the time the last card has been dealt.
15: You can’t be on your phone if you are in the hand or your cards will be mucked.
16: Rebuys, you have 5min to come back into the game
1: If more than two cards are dealt face up during a hand. Blinds and raises will return to the players that put them in.
2: If Big Blind or Small Blind’s first cards are dealt face up, it is considered a misdeal.
3: If you have 1 or 3 cards after betting commences, your hand is considered dead. All chips you’ve put into the pot will be forfeited and your hand will be mucked, play will continue for other players in the game.It is a player’s responsibility to take care of their cards.
1: A muck is your intent to fold or cards hitting muck.
2: If your cards hit the muck face down and you still have chips in the pot, your chips will be forfeited.
3: If you disclose your hand by announcing your cards or showing your cards to any player or bystander your hand is mucked, cards must be tabled so all players can see your hand.
4: No retrieving cards out of the muck.
5: You must be at your seat by the time the last card has been dealt otherwise it’s a muck.
6: You can listen to your phone or any electronic device as long as you have headphones or ear pace otherwise your cards will be mucked.
7: You can be on your phone or any electronic device as long as you are not in the hand otherwise your cards will be mucked.
8: If you are on your phone or any electronic device and the last card has been dealt your cards will be mucked.
1: You should never disclose your poker hand to anyone.
2: If you disclose your hand by announcing your cards or showing your cards to any player or by stander your hand is mucked
1: Once the dealer has dealt the hand, the cards should be placed on the table in front of them with the dealer button on top.
2: The dealer can’t hold cards in their hand. If this is seen, you will receive a warning, if done again, you will receive an orbit, on the third time you will be out of the game.
3: No burning of cards until betting is complete.
4: No putting out the Turn and River before action is complete.
5: If a player is heads up all in, deal the cards out in order do not flip 5 cards at the same time.
1: Any card face up in the deck is considered dead.
2: Whilst turning over the flop, turn and river, if a card is face up, that card is considered dead, the next card will be the card in play.
3: If there are two cards face up whilst dealing the flop, turn and river the hand will be considered dead and chips will be returned to the players who have put them in.
1: Once we are on the bubble for final table, blinds will be paused and players will be hand for hand.
2: The Tournament Director will tell the players when to deal.
1: Royal Flush is active
2: All stranded rules apply (BUT THERE IS NO WARNINGS IT IS A DIRECT ORBIT)
3: You must stay on the final table unless you need to go to the toilet or buy anything at the bar.
4: If final table has been running for 1HR you can have a quick break.
1: Abusive behaviour or misconduct will not be tolerated.
1a: Abusing a player that has called you and wins with a low ranking hand.
1b: Disrupting the game.
1c: Any verbal abuse or physical abuse towards players or TD'S
1d: Any player that does any of the above will be given a warning and if continues will be band untill a decision has be made by the owner and forfeits their rights to any qualified events during this period.
2: Telling players what you have so they fold, Dealer telling players what will be coming out, stealing chips, taking cards out of the muck to make a hand etc.
3: Any player caught cheating will be immediately eliminated from the game and a ban or membership removed this will be enforced.
4: The tournament director has final say as to whether he considers an act as cheating/Tolerance.
1: If you are all in you cannot leave the table until the final card is dealt and the winner of the hand is announced. You may stand up.
2: You may leave the table to go for a smoke at any time except when it is Hand for Hand or Final Table.
3: You cannot leave the table for a period longer than 10 minutes.
4: This timer will start once the Tournament Director is notified that a player has gone and if you do not return your chips will be removed from the table and you will be taken out of the game.
1: A split will be offered at top three and again at Heads Up.
2: There will be no Splits on final table if one player says play on you must continue with the game.
1: Orbits and Disqualification:
2: Angle shooting is not tolerated
3: Once the hand is finished you must not revile any more cards.
4: If you break any of the rules you will receive a warning first, if you break them again you will receive one full orbit, if you break them the third time you will be removed from the game.
5: Cheating and/or Violent behaviour will not be tolerated and you will be immediately removed from the game pending suspension.
6: TD?TA get a direct orbit.
